Open Mic 2011

This year I decided to enter a brilliant competition called, Open Mic UK. It searches for high and low for singers all over the UK to try and uncover new talent and give someone a chance at “making it big”.

I went to my 1st auditions for it in Newcastle on Saturday 10th September, keyboard in hand and although there was a massive queue and it was hot and noisy, eventually audition time came.

The audition set up fro Open Mic is that 5 people audition together for about a minute each. I was the last in our group of 5 and I played a new song, Thursday Afternoons (coming out in the Christmas Album), which managed to bag me a place in the regional finals on the 22nd of October at the Journal Tyne Theatre in Newcastle!

Came home feeling chuffed to bits!

I have 25 tickets, £8 each for the regionals where there will be professional music industry judges from BBC Introducing, record labels and radio stations, singers all battling it out for a place at the O2 in London where the national live finals will be held, plus a mystery celebrity guest!

If anyone would like to buy a ticket please drop me an e-mail on  evieplumb@gmail.com

Thanks your support everyone!
